Maria Augusta (Augusta's CD & Founder) was selected as one of only 16 designers across Canada chosen to create a couture garment out of paper for the 2025 Cashmere Collection, an annual national showcase that brings together leading fashion voices in support of breast cancer awareness and research.
The Collection, produced by Kruger Products (makers of Cashmere bathroom tissue), is unlike any other — each year designers are challenged to create couture garments crafted entirely from bathroom tissue (yes, you read that right, aha!), pushing the boundaries of creativity while spotlighting/fundraising for the breast cancer cause.
Representing Edmonton and Alberta, Maria created a custom cashmere dress for this year’s runway.
