About the event
Over two days, you'll move through the full process we use to design garments — from exploration through planning and execution.
DAY ONE - SEPT 26, 1-5 PM
is about creativity and technique — they go hand in hand!
We will begin with a series of short exercises: collaging with paper + cut fabric, fashion illustration, abstraction. Then we will work through a range of upcycling techniques: fabric manipulation, mending, embellishment, deconstruction — so you leave with a toolkit of options, not just one idea. From there, you'll develop a direction for your own project: what you want to make, and how.
